Thyssenkrupp AG is a multinational German steel and industrial engineering conglomerate. The company formed after the 1999 merger of Thyssen AG, and Krupp, two of the oldest and biggest German industrial companies. Today it is primarily based out of Essen but is present in 78 countries with over 161,000 employees. Their business operations are organised into five groups: components technology, elevator technology, industrial solutions, material services, and steel Europe. It’s Executive Board, comprised of, sets the agenda for the company’s business areas, corporate functions, and the service units.
